When I decided to go to India this summer with the Rising Star Outreach program the first thing I wanted to do was tell all my family and friends. When they asked what I would be doing and I told them that part of my journey would be going to Leprosy colonies they were shocked and said they didn't realize that Leprosy still existed.
I hope that going to India will bring awareness to many who would have never known. I hope to touch many lives back at home as well as my own through my blog.
